North Carolina Counterintelligence (TSCM) Licensee
Job Description: Counterintelligence licensees locate, discover or disengage (by electronic, electrical or mechanical means) any listening or other monitoring equipment suspiciously placed to gather information. Education and Experience Requirements: Applicants are required to have a high school diploma and three years experience within the past 10 years in counterintelligence; or successfully complete a Private Protective Services Board approved school in counterintelligence of not less than 40 hours of classroom instruction. Application: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and are required to submit a set of classifiable fingerprints on an applicant card, two recent head and shoulders' color photographs, a statement of the results of a local criminal history record, searched by the Clerk of Superior Court or city/county bureau of identification where the applicant has resided in the past five years. Examination: No examination is required for this license. Fees: Initial Fee: $150.00 (application) $200.00 (annual license) $5.00 (SBI fee)* $50.00 (recovery fund)** Duration:: Year Renewal Fee: $200.00 *Applies only to initial applicants. **Recovery fund applies to only initial applicants.
