2052WL - WIRE AND DEVICE LOCATOR

The 2052WL is designed to locate existing wires, such as power and telephone lines, as well as wires leading to or from hidden wired microphones regardless of whether the wire is terminated by a dynamic or electret microphone, carries a carrier-current signal or contains filters or shields designed to prevent detection by non-linear junction detectors. It can also locate hidden transmitters and recorders even if they are turned off or their batteries are dead. The 2052WL does NOT operate on the principle of "non-linear junction detection". The system consists of the 2052WLT transmitter, connecting cables for the transmitter, 2052WLR detector, rod antenna, extension antenna, headset and carrying case.

The 2052WLT transmitter is powered by 6 "AA" Alkaline batteries and measures 2 1/4" (58 mm) high X 3" (76 mm) wide and 6 5/8" (168 mm) deep excluding jacks and controls. Unit has a low battery indicator. It weighs 1 1/4 pounds (.58 Kg). The transmitter is supplied with two output cable assemblies.

The 2052WLR detector covers from 1 KHz to well over 10 GHz. Readout is both visual (by meter) and aural. Aural output is either a demodulated signal, or a tone proportional to signal strength. The detector is powered by a single 9 volt Alkaline battery and measures 6 1/4" (58 mm) high X 2 1/2" (64 mm) wide and 1 1/2" (38 mm) deep excluding jacks and controls. Weight is 11 ounces (.35 Kg). The detector is supplied with an 8 1/4" (210 mm) rod antenna and an extension antenna which measures 6 feet (1.85 meters) in length when fully extended. A major feature of the detector is that it draws less than 100 uA battery current.
